Emily Legel, ReStore Manager
Emily Legel has joined Dubuque and Jackson Counties Habitat for Humanity as the new ReStore Manager. Emily began her employment with Habitat July 5th as the first full-time employee at the new Dubuque and Jackson Counties Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
As ReStore Manager, Emily will be responsible for the start-up and day-to-day operations of the approximately 8,200 square foot ReStore located on Chavenelle Road in Dubuque, IA. Emily will lead a team of employees and volunteers ready to accept donations and sell high-quality furniture, building materials, and other donated merchandise. The ReStore will open later this year an provide important financial support for Habitat home building in Dubuque and Jackson Counties.
Emily comes to the ReStore with her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Iowa. She previously led NW Illinois Development in Hanover, Illinois, where she oversaw projects ranging from a housing needs assessment to state relations to business assistance and grants. In her spare time, Emily enjoys crafting, ballroom dancing, thrift shopping and spending time with her cats and dogs.
